About Us

ABC Paramedic Services was set up by our Training and Event Manager, Craig Gray who has fifteen years experience working in front-line Emergency Services with the Scottish Ambulance Service in Edinburgh. Craig spent the last three years in the Ambulance Service working as a First Response Paramedic on a Rapid Response Vehicle dealing predominately with Class A / Red, i.e. potentially life threatening emergencies.

In 2011 Craig became the first Paramedic in the history of the Scottish Ambulance Service to be awarded ‘The Chief Executive’s Special Award’ for displaying the highest levels of commitment and professionalism in his job.

Craig’s knowledge and expertise extends to the private sector with ten years experience of delivering First Aid Training to Healthcare Professionals, courses at the Royal College of Surgeons, and providing Medical Cover at events such as ‘T in the Park’, ‘The Edinburgh Tattoo’ and the ‘Queen’s Garden Party’.

Earlier this year, Craig provided Paramedic level cover as Chief Medical Officer at the ‘Urdd National Eisteddfod’ festival in Wales which over 100,000 spectators attended.

He has also used his medical skills to help a charitable cause by running a medical clinic in a remote part of North East India as well as being involved in a pioneering ‘out of hospital Cardiac Arrest’ study aimed at improving CPR skills.

Craig takes a very personal, hands-on approach to the business and is actively involved in the strategic developments of all training, events and projects.

As well as our Training and Event Manager, we have a team of contracted First Aiders, Technicians, Paramedics, Nurses and Doctors, all trained to the highest standards, available to suit your requirements.
